So, we have been staying super busy moving in and settling into our new home, doing ministry with this church of God, working hard and praising the Lord along the way. Yes, yes, yes, God is so good and worthy of ALL the glory, honor and praise!
On another note, my husband has truly inspired me. I thought that I was more spiritual than my husband but believe that the Lord has graciously proved me wrong (lol). My husband began a "Daniel fast" which is a 21 day fast where the first seven days you can only drink water, the next seven days you can add fruit, and the following seven days you can add vegetables. I'm proud to say that he successfully completed his first seven days with absolutely no food! Wow, what a strong man of God! My mind is absolutely blown by this child of God named Timothy Lee and I'm so blessed that the Lord has allowed me to have him as my husband. Now he has definitely began to enjoy his allowance of fruit added this week. I didn't feel led to begin a fast myself yet but I am truly inspired which caused me to be on a stricter diet since he has begun and I've been doing more of a cleansing fast to pack myself with nutrients and get spiritually ready to do this fast as well. I know that I don't feel spiritually strong enough right now to go without food for seven days but I know that when the Lord leads me to start, I'll be able to commit myself and that He will give me His strength through His Word. As my husband pointed out, the Word says not if we fast but when we fast. (Matt. 6:16)
My husband joined the church in jail ministry at Crawford County last night and was blessed to be a part of it. I attended the ministry this evening for Peach County jail and was very blessed! We started out by hugging the inmates and exchanging joyful greetings. I also got an awesome praise report about a scripture card that I gave to an inmate for Christmas. Then I started out with the song that was on my heart today with my guitar, "Oh, how I love Jesus because He first loved me". It lined up with the message that Lisa preached. The Lord loves us and He allows us to choose! Choose Life! (Deut. 30:19-20) I also really liked the verse that she shared from II Corinthians 4:4, which states in the amplified bible, "among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." I love that because it tells us again that Jesus Christ is the image of God. As part of Genesis 1:26 says, "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;", we are made in the image of God who is Jesus Christ the Lord, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are children of God with His DNA running through our veins. So to all the highly energetic children of God reading this, let your Light shine and seek to serve the Kingdom of God, because if you're not, you're wasting your time. God bless you!
Until next time,
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
