"And if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments which I command you this day, the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God."
It is so wonderful to know the promises of God but even more wonderful to be a doer of righteousness and not just a hearer. I remember when I lived in wrong-doing and I felt conviction, guilt and shame. I remember feeling miserable, wallowing in self-pity, severely suffering from drug addictions and an unhealthy lifestyle on a constant basis. It took a lot of self caused disasters before I began to fully understand how much I really needed God to help me and strengthen so I could completely turn from my own wicked ways and overcome the temptations of evil. I went from living a life of bad choices of wrong-doing and a terrible sinful nature to making a conscious choice of righteousness and experiencing Jesus set me free. He began to strengthen me through His Word and show me the supernatural side that I always wanted to see. Once I began to see the dark side for what it truly was, it was scary to know that I was living in it. The Lord continues to change me from glory to glory and I continue to experience his blessings chasing me down and overtaking me as I continue to strive for righteousness and work for the Kingdom of God. I went from hopeless, lifeless, jobless and husbandless to prospering, lively, married and joyful. The Lord has granted the desires of my heart and continues to impress me every day. With a fun job with great people and a raise on the way, I also have an interview for another job on Wednesday, and my husband and I are buying our first home together. First, The Lord granted my desire for a good man who loved the Lord after I sacrificed that desire to put Jesus first. I was also able to quit smoking cigarettes among other addictions through the power of my Lord Jesus Christ to break that bondage. I got married, moved, started singing in church for the first time in 20 years and improving my voice, my husband's prayer for a job change was answered, we moved again, and then I was granted the job that I desired. I became healthier and began my next God-granted desire to sing at nursing homes (this September was a year since my grandmother who raised me passed away at a nursing home) by kind people from the Church of God of Prophecy that invited me to come along with them. That is where I met the Rabbi of this church. We went to a revival the Church of God of Prophecy of Macon held and Ken gave me a prophetic word from the Lord. My husband and I felt right at home with them after visiting Jacob's Well and we knew we found our family. Ken also invited me to join them in their jail ministry which was another desire of my heart. Now as the Lord continues to pour out his love, we could not be happier as we are packing and cleaning the house we are renting so we can begin a new journey in our new home that we couldn't possibly be buying without the help that Jacob's Well has given us. Everything that we needed was right in this sweet little country church that has less than 25 members. They have made us feel more welcomed and more at home than we ever have before. They helped us financially to buy our first home, another member happened to be a home inspector, and another is a professional cleaner to help us get our deposit back from the home we are renting now. With all that being said, we are eager to continue to do the work of the Lord and bring people to Christ so they can experience the overtaking blessings of the Lord. Here is a picture of our new home. We move in on October 14th.
"And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work."
